An uncontested divorce is the quickest way to terminate a marriage, taking anywhere from 4-5 months (with ownership of private property) to 6 months (if there is ownership of HDB property) to get to the final certificate stage.

As long as both parties can determine all their assets and liabilities, gather the necessary supporting documentation and come to an agreement on all outstanding issues, they can choose to file for an expedited uncontested divorce. This process is much faster and less expensive than litigation.
